How to Remove Foot Pegs

Foot pegs on your motorcycle are what you rest your feet on and give you extra balance while maneuvering your bike. On most motorcycles there are two sets of foot pegs. One set is for the driver, and the other set is for the passenger. The foot pegs are secured to the frame of the motorcycle by bolts. The bolt size will be different for every motorcycle so you will need a ratchet set with standard and metric sockets.

Park the motorcycle on a level, firm surface. Use a socket from the ratchet set that corresponds with the nut securing the foot peg to the frame.

Connect the socket to the ratchet by placing the square hole on the socket onto the square stem on the ratchet. Push the socket onto the ratchet until it snaps into place.

Remove the bolt that secures the foot peg to the frame. Pull the foot peg off the motorcycle's frame.
