How to Remove the LR3 Taillight Assembly

You may need to remove or replace the taillights on your Land Rover 3 due to damage or if the light burns out. Removing the taillight assembly from this vehicle is very easy to do. From start to finish it should take you five minutes or less. Knowing how to remove the taillight assembly will save you money and time otherwise spent taking it in to a repair shop and having a professional mechanic do it for you.

  Open the tailgate of your Land Rover 3 to access the taillight assembly.

  Look between the light assembly and the rubber door gasket. You will find two screws that are holding the light assembly in place. Loosen and remove these two screws with a Phillips head screwdriver and set them aside.

  Grasp the light assembly with both hands and pull it away from the vehicle. The light assembly should pop right off, allowing you access to the wiring behind it.

  Grasp the wiring connection on the back of the light assembly and pull it away from the unit to fully disconnect the light assembly.
