How to Remove Shield Deluxe 2009

Powered by BitDefender, Shield Deluxe 2009 contains proactive anti-virus and spyware detection software that protects your computer from malicious programs. While the program is an effective security measure, you may have a need to remove the program. To do so, you must first disable the program's automatic startup and then proceed to do a general uninstall to remove Shield Deluxe 2009 from your computer.

  Right-click on the Shield Deluxe 2009 icon. You will find this icon on the right side of the task bar, which show programs that are currently running. Select "Options" from the drop down menu. You should see a box that is checked indicating that the program will run automatically when the computer starts. Uncheck this box and close the "Options" folder.

  Restart your computer. Make sure the Shield Deluxe 2009 program does not start automatically.

  Click on the Windows "Start" button and select the "Control Panel" from the menu.

  Locate the program name, "Shield Deluxe 2009" in the "Programs and Features" folder and click on the "Remove" button.

  Click "Yes" when asked "Are you sure you want to uninstall Shield Deluxe 2009." Click "Yes" again when asked whether you want to remove all user configuration data. And finally, click "Yes" again when asked if you want to remove definitions.
