Run Windows Task Manager

Click the "Start" button. Type "taskmgr" in the "Search" field and press "Enter." This will open the Windows Task Manager. Open the "Processes" tab.

Select the "WgaTray.exe" process and click "End Process."

Exit the Task Manager.
Remove the Files

Restart your computer. Press the "F8" key in succession, until the advanced boot menu appears. Scroll down to "Safe mode" and press "Enter."

Click "Start" and click "Computer." Click "C," "Windows" and then "System32."

Right-click "WgaTray.exe" and click "Delete." Exit Windows Explorer. Open the Recycle Bin and select "Empty the Recycle Bin."
Run Registry Editor

Click the "Start" button. Type "regedit" in the "Search" field and press "Enter." This will open the Registry Editor.

Navigate the registry path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MicrosoftWindows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify."

Right-click "WgaLogon" and click "Delete." Exit the Registry Editor.

Reboot the PC. Make sure the WGA messages no longer display.

Right-click "WgaTray.exe" and click "Delete." Exit Windows Explorer. Open the Recycle Bin and select "Empty the Recycle Bin."
