How to Reset Lexmarlk X83 Ink Cartridges

The Lexmark X83 is an all-in-one inkjet printer. With X83, you can print, copy and scan documents. If you use a third-party ink to refill your ink cartridges, your printer may have trouble recognizing it. It will display a low ink error message. The best way to get rid of this message is by resetting your ink levels. Note that you will need "Lexmark Solution Center" software to perform this task. This software was provided to you when bought the printer.

  Open "Lexmark Solution Center" from the Start menu or desktop shortcut. If you have not installed this program yet, insert the CD-ROM that came with the all-in-one printer, follow on-screen guides to install the software.

  Click the tab titled "Maintenance."

  Choose the option that says "Install a new printer cartridge."

  Click "Next" to proceed to the screen that says "Print the Alignment page."

  Click the print button to reset the ink cartridges. Repeat the above steps multiple times until you get the accurate ink level reading.
