How to Run a Live Update on an HP iPAQ 211

The HP iPAQ 211 is a small hand-held device. It uses Microsoft Mobile, which allows the use of Microsoft programs like Word and Excel in personal digital assistants. The device features a touch screen and is similar to a computer, but in a portable form. The Live Update option on the device tells the owner when to update and obtain the appropriate upgrades for the iPAQ. The updates are a key feature in maintaining security and getting rid of any bugs.

      Go to the HP website under the update section on your PC. Locate the iPAQ 211 updates and select the updates.

      Download the latest updates to the host computer. The host computer is the computer that has the initial software installed upon the purchase of the iPAQ. IPAQ 211 comes with a CD-ROM that is installed on the computer. As a result, the updates are downloaded onto the computer with the iPAQ information.

      Sync the iPAQ and computer. Connect the iPAQ and the host computer using a USB cable. The computer will automatically sync the device.

      Remove the device when the sync is complete. The Live Update has run on the device and the newest updates are on the iPAQ.
