How to Select by Color in Corel

Corel offers several software options for creating digital artwork. Two popular Corel software solutions are Corel Draw and Corel Paint. When using these programs, you may have a piece of artwork with dozens of items in many colors. Trying to select a specific item in one color can be challenging and time consuming. Instead, you can select all objects and pixels with a specific fill color.

      Select any object with the desired color.

      Navigate to the "Edit" menu.

      Scroll to "find and replace" and select "Find objects." Scroll to "find objects that match the currently selected object."

      Check and uncheck the appropriate options in the pop-up window. The window offers a large variety of properties such as fill, outline and overprints.

      Press "Select All."

    Color Docker

      Drag the cursor around the appropriate area of artwork to select.

      Drag and drop your artwork into the Color Styles docker. All of the colors that occur in your design will appear in the docker.

      Hold the Shift key and click on the color you wish to alter.

      Type the code of the color you wish to alter and click "OK." This highlights the color in the docker palette. Drag and drop the new color on top of the old color in the palette.
