How to Show a Private Number on an LG Vue Cell Phone

The LG Vue is a cell phone that is offered to AT&T network subscribers. AT&T provides a feature known as "Anonymous Call Rejection" for its subscribers. With this service, anonymous calls that usually appear as "Private," "Unknown" or "Withheld" on your LG Vue's caller ID will not activate the phone's ring. Instead, the caller will be told that you do not accept private calls and only if the caller chooses to reveal the number will the call be put through.

  Press "*77" on the standby screen.

  Wait for the confirmation that the service has been activated on your LG Vue. Once it activates, all anonymous and private callers will hear a recording on your phone notifying them that you don't take private calls and that the caller should unmask the number to connect. When the call reaches your phone after the number is shown, you will also get to see this number on your caller ID.
