How to Sync an Anonymous Password

There are applications available on the Internet that let you manage passwords for your Windows network log on, email accounts, websites, FTP and more. Remembering all these passwords is a daunting task. A password manager stores all your log in information for you and lets you assign a single, master password. You can also sync this anonymous password to other computers you use, for instance, different computers for work and home.
  • Using KeePass and DropBox

    • 1

Download and install KeePass on the computer, then launch the application (see Resources).

    • 2

Create a new password database. First go to "File" > "New" and type a master password that you want to keep. Click "OK."

    • 3

Download and install Dropbox on the computer (see Resources).

    • 4

      Launch the program after installation.

    • 5

Go to "File" > "Save As."

    • 6

Drag KeePass to the Dropbox folder and leave it there.

    • 7

Open KeePass on the other computer and navigate to "File" > "Open Database." Point to the synced KeePass database file that was added to the Dropbox folder.

    Using RoboForm

    • 1

Go to the website RoboForm (see Resources) and sign up for free.
