How to Sync Libraries

Many computers have a media library that stores music files. If you purchase an iPod or other MP3 player, the device also comes with a library designed for that device. Instead of having to reload all your music manually into the new library by ripping CDs, you simply can sync the libraries in one easy step.
  • Syncing Music Libraries

    • 1

Click the "Start" button. Locate where your music is stored on your computer. Most of the time, it is in your "My Music" folder.

    • 2

Locate the library into which you want to import the music from your old library. To do this, click the "Start" button, click "My Computer," click the "C Drive" and then click the "Program Files" folder. Locate the library in the list.

    • 3

Drag and drop the music that you want to sync to the new library into the folder of the new library. You have now synced your music into your new library.
