Clean the SpectraLink wireless telephone. Turn off the handset and unplug the docking station and chargers. Use a slightly moistened piece of cloth to clean the charging contacts and the exterior surfaces. Use a mild detergent solution on stubborn stains and wipe the detergent away with a cloth dampened with clean water.

Clean the headset jack when you experience a scratchy or intermittent signal. Dip the non-padded end of a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol. Insert the swab into the jack gently and twist. Repeat several times.

Power off the telephone immediately if interior gets wet. Remove the battery pack and shake excess liquid from the phone. Place the battery pack and telephone in a room temperature area with good airflow. Let the battery pack and telephone dry for 72 hours before connecting the battery pack into the telephone again and powering it up.

SpectraLink is a line of wireless telephone devices and accessories produced by Polycom. Your SpectraLink device may sometimes malfunction and require troubleshooting in order to get it working properly again. A dirty telephone may be the cause of your phone not functioning properly. Cleaning your phone using household cleaning products may solve many of your problems.
