Write down the size of the plug on the end of your microphone. Microphones tend to have end-plugs that measure either a quarter or an eighth of one inch.
- 2
Pick up your transmitter of the wireless variety and jot down the size of the adapter it requires to connect it with your microphone. For instance, if the wireless transmitter you own contains an RCA plug of the female variety, and your microphone has a corresponding male plug that measures a quarter of an inch, you must use an adapter to convert your quarter inch male plug to a male plug of the RCA variety.
- 3
Connect the adapter for your microphone to your actual microphone. Attach the opposite end of your adapter to your wireless transmitter. You also need to figure out what type of audio adapter you need to connect your receiver of the wireless variety to your audio system. For instance, if the receiver you have contains an RCA output cable of the male variety, but your audio system contains a quarter-inch input jack of the female variety, you must use an adapter to match both components together.
- 4
Insert your receiver of the wireless variety in the adapter for your receiver. Insert the opposite end of the adapter in your audio system to complete the process.
