Turn on the HP 49G by pressing the "ON" key on the lower left of the calculator.

Use the arithmetic keys to perform simple equations. The division, multiplication, subtraction and addition keys span the lower right side of the button panel. Use the "Enter" key in place of an "=" key on a traditional calculator.

Turn the HP 49G off by holding down the right-shift key on the bottom left of the calculator followed by the "ON" key. You should see the HP 49G's screen go dark.
