Place the fryer's base on a level surface such as your kitchen counter. Move the base away from the counter's edge. Position the removable fryer pot into the base.
- 2
Align the guides located on the back of the fryer's base and the front of the control unit. Slip the control unit onto the base tracks, gently pushing it down until it goes no farther and locks in place.
- 3
Unlock the fryer basket handles by lifting them out of the fryer's basket. Squeeze the two drain hooks together, located on the base of the handle, fitting the handle's bars into the bracket. The basket is now ready for use.
- 4
Fill the fryer pot with coking oil until it reaches the minimum or maximum marks. Always fill the pot with the minimum or maximum amounts of oil when using the fryer, as you can damage the unit by not using enough or cause a hot oil overflow by using too much.
- 5
Place the deep fryer's cover in place on top of the unit. Align the electrical cord's plug ends to the pins on the back of the fryer, attaching the cord to the unit. Plug the unit into an electrical outlet.
- 6
Push the "Temp Set" button located on the unit's control panel until you reach the desired frying temperature. Press the "Heat Start/Cancel" button to turn the unit on. Allow the oil to heat for approximately 15 minutes. The red light on the control panel will turn green when the oil is ready for cooking.
- 7
Fill the basket with food and attach the drain hooks to the fryer pot, holding the basket in place above the hot oil. Place the cover over the basket.
- 8
Start the timer by pushing the "Time Start/Cancel" button. Press the button until the desired cooking time shows on the control panel. Slowly lower the basket of food into the heated oil. If you are frying foods with high moisture content, remove the fryer's cover after inserting the basket into the oil.
- 9
Remove the basket and check the food to see if it's done once the fryer starts beeping after the timer reaches the desired cooking time. To stop the fryer from beeping and reset the timer if needed, push the "Time Start/Cancel" button. Reset the timer if the food requires more frying.
- 10
Turn the fryer off when done by pressing the "Heat Start/Cancel" button. Unplug the unit and allow the oil to cool completely before moving the fryer.

How to Use the Presto ProFry Digital Deep Fryer
Fried food might not be the healthiest, but it is tasty. Having a deep fryer simplifies the process of frying and the Presto ProFry Digital Deep Fryer makes frying food even simpler. The fryer resembles what professionals use, but its smaller size makes it well-suited for home use. It has a large capacity, holding up to nine cups of food, and the digital control panel makes operating the unit quite basic.
