How to Use a Shell for a Wedding Centerpiece

Shell wedding centerpieces are the perfect accent to a beach-themed wedding or a warm-weather wedding. If you live near a beach, you will have the supplies in no time. If you are far from a beach, you can still purchase the things you will need for a low price. They will look classy and expensive; however, they will put only a small dent into your budget. The shell centerpieces take little time to create, leaving you more time to dedicate to other items on your wedding checklist.
    • 1

Place a tall, clear glass vase in the center of one of your wedding tables.

    • 2

Fill the vase with sand. You can decide how full you wish to have it. Pick what is most aesthetically-appealing to you. Do not fill it more than half-way up the vase. You want to leave room in the vase to display the candlesticks.

    • 3

Place three or more seashells on top of the sand. They can be any color.

    • 4

Poke three candlesticks into the sand, until they hit the bottom of the vase.

    • 5

Light the candlesticks for beautiful ambiance.

    • 6

Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for additional tables you wish to have shell centerpieces on.
