  • Technical Overview

    • The Hewlett Packard dc5750 Athlon X2 4600+ is a microtower personal computer that was originally made by Compaq. It uses an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4600 series dual-core processor at a speed of 2.4 Gigahertz. This is accompanied by a total of 1 GB of Double Data Rate 2 Random Access Memory (DDR2 RAM), with support for up to 8 GB of DDR2 RAM. This unit comes with an 80 GB Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) hard disk drive. The motherboard features the Array Technologies Incorporated (ATI) Radeon Express 1150 chipset and an integrated ATI X300 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).

    Front and Back Ports

    • The back of the dc5750 features a total of six Universal Serial Bus 2.0 (USB) ports. The computer also has one 9-pin serial port, one Digital Visual Interface (DVI) port and one 15-pin Video Graphics Array (VGA) port.

      There are two Personal System 2 (PS/2) ports, one 25-pin parallel port, one Registered Jack-45 (RJ-45) Ethernet networking port, one line-in audio port and one line-out audio port. This system also provides ports on the front of the case for easier access. This includes two USB 2.0 ports, one microphone port, and one headphone port.

    Additional Features

    • This computer is 4.5 inches tall by 15.5 inches wide by 13.5 inches deep. It is powered by a 240-watt power supply unit (PSU). It does not include a floppy disk drive, but it does come with a DVD drive. The integrated Realtek two-channel high-definition audio codec comes installed. Microsoft Windows XP Professional is the preinstalled operating system.
