Information for Pioneer Home Theaters

As of 2010, Pioneer Electronics produces one style of home theater system that includes a receiver, four surround sound speakers and a subwoofer speaker. The HTZ-BD30 home theater system sells for $499 as of November 2010 and supports several video formats.

    • Pioneer's HTZ-BD30 5.1 Blu-ray Home Theater System is compatible with several video formats including Blu-ray, DVD, CD, MP3, JPEG and WMA. The system also contains an iPod/iPhone cradle that plays audio and video files contained on an iPod (fourth generation), iPod Nano, iPod Touch or iPhone.

    Audio

    • Pioneer's home theater system is compatible with several high-definition audio formats including DTS-HD Master Audio Essential and Dolby TrueHD. Pioneer offers an accessory audio package, the S-HS111US 5.1 Surround Sound Small Speaker Package, that contains six additional speakers intended to enhance the audio capabilities of the home theater system.

    Dimensions

    • The Blu-ray player/receiver component of Pioneer's home theater system weighs nearly 8 lbs., stands 17 inches wide, 2.5 inches tall and 12 inches deep. The subwoofer speaker weighs in at nearly 10 lbs. and stands 5 inches wide, 16.6 inches tall and nearly 15 inches deep.
