As part of the Microsoft Office suite, Outlook is an email client that supports the organization and management of email messages, contacts, calendar appointments and tasks. Outlook incorporates a number of integrated print capabilities that allow users to customize how Outlook items like messages, address book, calendar appointments, notes and tasks are printed. Microsoft Outlook's print tools consist of Page Setup, Print Preview and the Print Dialog Box. To access these tools, select them from the File tab in Outlook 2010 or from the Microsoft Office button in Outlook 2007.
Page Setup
-
Change page settings using the Page Setup tool. Page Setup options include defining or editing print styles; changing page orientation, size or margins; and adding or editing a header or footer to the Microsoft Outlook item. Page Setup is a flexible tool that Microsoft Outlook users can use to customize default page settings to meet their requirements.
Print Preview
-
Print Preview is a useful tool that displays an image of what the print copy will look like based on current page and print settings. Use this information to adjust settings using the Page Setup tool and Print dialog box before sending the Outlook item to the printer.
Print Dialog Box
-
The Print dialog box initiates the actual printing of the Outlook item. With this tool you can change the destination printer and preferences, select the number of copies, set the range of pages and finally send the item to the destination printer. The Print dialog box also offers convenient access to Outlook's Page Setup and Print Preview tools.
