Pagani Zonda Specs

  • Price

    • The first Pagani Zonda offered in 1999 was the C12. This car's base price was $280,000. Once the Zonda was put in the market, many upgrades followed--as the C12-S, C12-S Roadster, C12-S Monza, C12 F and C12 F Roadster were introduced. With the new performance packages, prices ranged from $325,000 to about $350,000. However, the C12 F, introduced in 2005, came with a price tag of $741,000, which is more than double that of previous Zondas.

    Engine and Transmission

    • All Pagani Zondas have Mercedes Benz V12 engines in them. With different performance packages come different modifications to the engine, such as upgrades to the AMG V12 for the 1999 C12-S, or M180 V12 with intake and exhaust for the 2005 C12 F. The base C12 Zonda came with 394 horsepower at 5,200 revolutions per minute, and 420 footpounds of torque at 3,800 revolutions per minute. The top of the line C12 F and C12 F Roadster came with 650 horsepower at 6,200 revolutions per minute and 780 footpounds of torque at 4,000 revolutions per minute. All the other Zondas have horsepower and torque ratings in the middle of that spectrum, at about 550 for each. The Zonda comes stock with a 6-speed manual transmission

    Dimensions

    • The length of the base C12 is 14.26 feet. It has a wheel base of 8.96 feet and a width of 6.34 feet. The performance packages made the Zonda slightly larger, by about four inches in every direction. The biggest of the performance editions, the C12 F, weighs in at only 2,809 pounds. This is about the same weight as a Mazda MX-6.

    Other Specs

    • While zero to 60 clock times depend on engine horsepower and torque, most Zondas can get to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 to 3.8 seconds. Top speed for the base model is 185 miles per hour, while some of the performance Zondas have a top speed of 220.0 miles per hour.
