Basics
-
OGA is an anti-piracy tool created by Microsoft. It is designed to scan your computer and notify you if the Microsoft Office programs that you are using are counterfeit.
False Positives
-
Many users have reported false positives. This occurs when OGA accuses users of installing counterfeit software, when in fact the software is legitimate.
Removal Tool
-
The Windows Registry Editor can be used to remove the OGA notification. To do this, open the Registry Editor, press "Ctrl" + "F," type "OGAAddin.connect" into the "Search" box, and click "Find Next." Right-click "Load Behavior" (under the highlighted registry value), select "Modify," and change the value from "3" to "0."
