Slingbox Is Not Working With Comcast

The Slingbox takes your cable signal and broadcasts that signal to you anywhere in the world over the Internet. If your Slingbox is not working, there are several problems that you need to check. First, you need to check that the co-axial or component cables are receiving a cable signal. Second, you need to check if the Ethernet cable you have is properly working. Finally, you should try connecting again to your Slingbox to see if it works. If everything should be functional, then you may have a problem with your Slingbox.

Check that the red light on front of your Slingbox is on to see if power is going to your Slingbox. If it is not on, then plug your Slingbox into a new power outlet.

Disconnect the Ethernet cable from your Slingbox and insert the cable into a laptop or computer. Try to get on the Internet from the laptop or the computer. If you cannot get on, then there is a problem with your Ethernet cable's connection to the Internet.

Disconnect the coaxial cable, if you are using a connection straight from the wall to your Slingbox, or the component cables, if you are using a connection from a digital box to your Slingbox, and connect those cables to a television you know works. This checks if the signal from your cable is reaching your Slingbox.
