Tips for a Panasonic ZS3

    • The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 is a point-and-shoot digital camera with a 10 megapixel sensor. It combines a lightweight body at 0.45 lbs. with a 12x optical zoom range. Knowing its features gives you more creative freedom to get the photos you want.

    Wide-Angle Lens

    • If you enjoy taking photos of groups of people or of buildings and architecture, the wide angle zoom lens is perfect for this. With the "25 mm equivalent" lens, you can get more into the frame without having to step backward away from your subject.

    High-Definition Video

    • Use the movie recording mode to capture video in high definition. This is great for recording footage with more clarity and playing it back on a high-def television. This also helpful in situations where a full size camcorder is too too noticeable or unwieldy.

    Face Recognition

    • Use the face setup function to program in your friends' faces. The camera will recognize them, even in a group. This allows you to tell the camera to hold the focus on those people, even if they move around.

    Image Stabilization

    • In order to reduce blur, use the image stabilization function, called "Mega OIS" (for Optical Image Stabilization). The camera will try to minimize the amount that the lens moves, which holds the image more stationary on the digital sensor.
