  Massachusetts is home to over 100 colleges, universities, institutes and academies that offer students, undergraduate and graduate a variety of different programs to help further their education. Most, if not all schools provide students with financial assistance, in several forms including grants, scholarships, federal funding and work-study.

Boston University

• Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Boston University is a private research institution that offers a College of Fine Arts, a College of General Studies, a College of Arts and Sciences, a School of Education, a School of Law, a Division of Graduate Medical Sciences and a Division of Military Education. Boston University offers its students a variety of types of financial aid including grants, scholarships, loans, and part-time employment funding. A few programs of study offered for undergraduates include Art Education, Biology, Chemistry, Business Administration, Earth Sciences, English, Environmental Earth Sciences, Health Science, Graphic Design, History, Linguistics, Marine Science, Philosophy, Russian Language & Literature, Science Education and Theater Production.

Cambridge University

• Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Cambridge College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and offers several undergraduate bachelor's degrees including Psychology, Management Studies, Multidisciplinary Studies and Human Services. Cambridge College consists of a School of Education, School of Psychology & Counseling, School of Undergraduate Studies and School of Management. Cambridge College offers financial aid to students who are enrolled in school at least part-time. Doctoral and graduate students are eligible for Federal Stafford Loans and work-study.

Bently University

• Located in Waltham, Massachusetts, Bentley University offers graduate and undergraduate studies. For students needing financial assistance, Bentley University provides grants, scholarships, low interest loans, work opportunities and alternate financing programs. Studying abroad is offered to students wishing to do so in over 25 countries. Bentley University offers more than 100 different student clubs and organizations and also has a few fraternities and sororities. The university has several varsity teams including basketball, softball, hockey, football, cross country and tennis.

Stonehill College

• Stonehill College is a Catholic college that provides more than 80 different programs which include Environmental Studies, Neuroscience, Marketing, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, French, Interdisciplinary Studies, Italian Studies, Biochemistry and Sociology & Criminology. Financial aid is given in the forms of scholarships, grants, loans and federal aid. Varsity teams include football, soccer, ice hockey, basketball, baseball, tennis, volleyball and track and field.

Harvard University

• One of the oldest institutions of higher learning, Harvard University consists of a School of Business, School of Law, a School of Medicine, a School of Engineering and a Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Harvard University offers students financial aid for undergraduate programs as well as graduate programs. Harvard sports include cross country, fencing, field hockey, ice hockey, heavyweight crew, basketball, golf, lacrosse, tennis, track & field and water polo. Harvard University normally admits students that rank in the top 10-15 percent of their class.
