What Is RF Online?

"RF Online" is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game released in 2006 by the Korean-based company CCR. It was originally titled "Rising Force."

Setting

• "RF Online" takes place in a fantasy setting with futuristic sci-fi elements. It is set in a distant galaxy known as Novus.

Races and Factions

• In the game you can choose from three major races or factions: the Accretian Empire, the Cora Holy Alliance and the Bellato Union. The Accretians are a totalitarian, warring people; the Coras are spiritual magic users; and the Bellatos use machines and magic.

Combat

• Many MMORPGs put harsh restrictions on player vs. player combat, but "RF Online" actually revolves around it. Only racial headquarters and settlements are consider safe; outside those exceptions, every zone allows player vs. player combat.

Minimum System Requirements

• The recommended minimum system requirements for running the game are as follows: The operating system must be Windows 2000, XP or Vista, and the computer has to have a Pentium 3 processor running on 256 megabytes of RAM, with 6 gigabytes free on the hard drive. The graphics card must be an nVIDIA Geforce FX Series or ATI Radeon 9500.
