Personal digital assistants (PDAs) used to be standalone hardware devices for managing project information, schedules, email and connecting to the Web. Nowadays, PDAs are built directly into mobile phones that are marketed as smart phones. Modern PDAs feature more powerful processors and can connect to a variety of networks to provide constant access to the Internet. These devices are well suited for the Skype Mobile application, as they are capable of making and receiving calls through your Skype account from almost anywhere. As of October 2010, there are nearly 50 smartphones that can run Skype Mobile.
