What Should I Eat for the Final Four?

Have friends over for party food is a fun way to watch the Final Four. Try matching food to each region that's represented, or simply serve food from your favorite team's region while you cheer them on.
  • Southern Food

    • If you're looking for traditional Southern food for a sporting event, you can't go wrong with authentic barbecue. However, if you are looking for something that is quicker to prepare, try fried chicken or Tex-Mex options such as quesadillas, tacos or nachos.

    Eastern Food

    • For a Final Four team from the Northeast, choose seafood. Chowder can be made ahead, and lobster rolls can be eaten in front of the television. For a less expensive option, try frying your favorite white fish, and serve it with a kicked-up homemade tartar sauce.

    Midwestern and Western Food

    • One of the first things to come to mind in Midwestern cuisine is potatoes, which gives you lots of options such as french fries, potato skins or homemade potato chips. For a lighter touch, and to represent the West, try California rolls. Or combine two regions and garnish any Tex-Mex dish with plenty of fresh vegetables and avocado.
