Government contractors follow complicated rules, and fill out and track a lot of paperwork. Bidding is a complex process, and there's no shortage of information on correct procedures. Companies offer training courses and books are available that teach you bidding. Various government agencies provide detailed training and information on the bidding process for free.   Go to the Federal Business Opportunities website and, under the heading "For Vendor," watch the demonstration videos. These videos introduce you to the process of searching for opportunities and registering with the government to become a vendor.   Visit the Small Business Administration's website to take online training courses on how to win federal contracts. The SBA offers a course on winning federal contracts, and additional courses geared toward veterans and female entrepreneurs.
