1991 Chevy Lumina 3.1 Torque Specifications

    • The 1991 Chevrolet Lumina is available as both a four-door sedan and two-door coupe. Sedans and coupes are both available in standard and Euro versions, and there is another coupe model called the Z34. Since the engine types vary, so do the torque specifications. The Lumina originally retailed for between $13,500 and $17,500.

    Torque

    • The Z34 coupe creates 215 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm, or revolutions per minute. All other versions generate 185 pound-feet of torque at 3,200 rpm. Torque gives prospective buyers an idea of how well a car combines acceleration and towing capability.

    Power

    • The Z34 coupe contains a 3.4-liter, V6 engine with 210 horsepower. The other models all have a 3.1-liter V6 engine with 140 horsepower.     • The standard coupe and sedan both have 17.1-gallon fuel tanks. The other versions have 16.5-gallon tanks. All versions run on unleaded fuel. Regardless of type, the 1991 Lumina gets 19 mpg, or miles per gallon, in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

    • All versions of the Lumina are 198.3 inches long. The sedans are 71 inches wide, while the coupes are 71.7 inches wide. The sedans are 53.6 inches tall and the coupes are 53.3 inches tall. The wheelbase is 107.5 inches. For the regular coupe and sedan, the turning diameter is 36.7 feet. For all other versions, the turning diameter is 39 feet. The front track is 59.5 inches and the rear track is 58 inches. The regular coupe weighs 3,111 pounds, the regular sedan weighs 3,192 pounds, the Euro and Z34 coupes weigh 3,239 pounds, and the Euro sedan weighs 3,321 pounds.
