Unauthorized Charges

Contact the customer service center of the wireless provider. Declare the mobile device either as lost or stolen and supply the representative with an approximate date of either event. Write the date of the call to the provider on a sheet of paper.

Wait for the bill statement. Locate the date(s) of calls you did not authorize. Contact the customer service center. Dispute calls made to or made from your phone.

Dispute the charges. Negotiate and request a removal of the charges. Wait 30 days until the end of the wireless provider's investigation.

Negotiate with the wireless provider and request that the company does not impose late fees for the unauthorized charges. Submit a written request as well to the company. Ask the company not to submit your bill to a credit reporting agency.

File a complaint with the public utilities commission in your state if you do not agree with the results of the investigation.

Contact the call center of your wireless provider that handles complaints at the number on your billing statement. File a complaint with the service representative. Outline and provide details pertaining to your problem. Wait for a decision.

Submit a Notice of Dispute to the notice address on the contract if you wish to pursue arbitration. Follow all directions as outlined in the contract. Send the notice by certified mail. Wait 30 days for a decision.

Contact a lawyer who specializes in alternative dispute resolution if you do not agree with the company's decision. Instruct the lawyer to initiate dispute proceedings. Negotiate the filing fee with the company by submitting a written request for reimbursement to the notice address.

Negotiate claim amounts and request fee reductions for late payments. Request a reimbursement for any fees related to the payment of attorney's costs, the securing of expert witnesses, and the conducting of investigations if the case settles in your favor.
