How to Upgrade My D510 CPU Fan Speed

Changing the speed of your CPU fan may be necessary if you are overclocking the processor or the CPU is running hot for any other reason. For example, poor air circulation through the computer case may cause the CPU to run hot. Fortunately, Intel has created a desktop program called "Integrator Assistant" that allows D510 users to easily set the performance parameters of the motherboard from within the application.

Run the computer for a few minutes with the new settings. Then, restart the computer and press "F2" to access the BIOS page. Navigate to the CPU section of the BIOS menu using the arrow keys. Check the temperature; if it is acceptable, keep the current configuration. If the CPU is still running hot, reload Integrator Assistant and increase the fan speed incrementally. Repeat this step until the CPU temperature is reduced to an acceptable level.
