Easy Directions for a Forerunner 305

The Garmin Forerunner 305 is a type of GPS-enabled trainer that is specifically made for runners. The Forerunner 305 features GPS technology, which uses satellite signals to track where you are. Because the watch knows where you are, it can easily calculate how far you've gone, how fast you're going and how long you've been running. Using the Forerunner 305 is easy, and it requires very little time to learn how to operate.

      Press the power key of the Forerunner 305 to turn it on. It's located in the top left corner. Stand outside and allow the device to locate the satellite signal.

      Press the button below the power key to view the menu. Use the arrow keys on the right side of the device to scroll through the options. Press the key below labeled "enter" to select. You can choose to change from running to cycling mode, for example, view your lap history, or change the Forerunner 305 settings.

      Start a new lap by pressing and holding the key labeled "lap." Then, press "start." Start running. The Forerunner 305 will keep track of your distance, pace and time.

      Stop your current route by pressing the "stop" key.
