Open some of the windows in your home, if the weather permits it, to let some fresh air into the house and remove the smells. If you can open more than one window, you can create a cross breeze to move the air out.

Place small dishes of baking soda or vinegar throughout the house. Just like in your refrigerator, baking soda can adsorb the odors in your home and get them out of the air. If you use vinegar, you will initially have the vinegar smell in the house, but it fades and removes other odors with it.
- 3
Run an air ionizer to purify the air in your home. Air ionizers can come with or without a fan. The units with a fan are more effective in cleansing the air in your house.

Fill a sauce pot with enough water to cover 2 inches and include some orange peels. Put the pot on your stove at a simmer. This will cleanse your air naturally with the citrus scent of the orange.
