Characteristics
-
Oakleaf hydrangeas take their name from their foliage's resemblance to that of the oak tree. They bloom in single or double white flowers.
Location
-
Plant the oakleaf hydrangea in a part of the garden that receives morning sun and afternoon shade. In northern regions of the U.S. you can grow the hydrangea in all-day sun.
Planting
-
Dig the hole the same depth as the 3-gallon pot. This is generally 9 inches. The hole should be twice the width of the pot: 22 inches.
