How do I Restore a Disk for NEC Versa VXI?

The NEC Versa VXI computer runs on the Windows operating system. Since it runs on Windows, you can use a recovery program to restore a disk that you have deleted. Disk images are usually one of two image file types. The ".ISO" file type is a single file that contains all the information of a disk. The combination of the ".BIN" and ".CUE." file type carries all the information of the files over two files. A standalone ".BIN" or ".CUE" file type will not work without its counterpart.

Acquire one of the recovery programs. Three of the more common programs are EASEUS, Recuva and TOKIWA DataRecovery because of their simplicity and success rate.

    • 2

Scan the Versa VXI for the disk image inside the recovery program.

Look for ".ISO" or ".BIN" and ".CUE" files. Remember that ".BIN" and ".CUE" have to be together to work. Click the "Restore" button to restore these files.
