How to a Add File When Burning an .ISO to CD

ISO files often are used as archive files that allow you to rid your computer of older, bulkier files. ISO files also can be used to burn files to CD. Adding files to an ISO file before burning them to a CD is easy with the multitude of free programs, including Nero, Imgburn and MagicISO Maker (see Resources).
  • Nero

      Download and install Nero (see Resources).

      Open Nero on your computer and click the "Data Burning" option on the main page.

      Click the "Destination" drop-down menu and click "Image Recorder." Click "Browse" and select a place to save the ISO file.

      Drag the files that you want in the ISO file. Click the "Burn" button to create the ISO file.

    Imgburn

      Download and install Imgburn (see Resources).

      Open "Imgburn" and click "Create image file from files." Click the "Source" button and select the files that you want in the ISO file.

      Click the "Destination" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click the been arrow to create the ISO file.

    Magic ISO Maker

      Download and install Magic ISO Maker (see Resources).

      Open "Magic ISO Maker"and drag the files that you want in the ISO file into the open program window.

      Click the "Save" button and select a place to save the ISO file. Click "OK" to create the ISO file.
