How to Apply for PayPal Buyer Credit

PayPal offers a buyer credit program called Smart Connect. This gives the owner an independent credit card that can be used to finance purchases through his PayPal account. The purchases can be paid off by agreeing to a monthly payment plan. You can apply for this credit line by filling out an application on PayPal's website; you'll be approved or denied immediately.

  Access the PayPal website and click on the yellow "Apply Now" button in the lower-right corner of the page.

  Log into your PayPal account by entering your e-mail address and password. Click "Log In."

  Select a card design and verify your contact information.

  Enter your date of birth and annual income.

  Read and agree to the terms and conditions and click on "Agree and Continue." Your application will be processed and you will be told within 30 seconds whether you were approved or denied.
