Plug the BT wireless hub into your cable modem or network connection. The back of the wireless hub has a number of Ethernet jacks (the number depends on the model). One of these jacks is labeled WAN. Plug the Ethernet connection from the cable modem or network connection into this jack.
- 2
Set up your PC with the wireless card in a location that is close to the wireless hub where you are assured a good connection. In most typical stetups, the BT hub can reach through several rooms and even up or down a floor.
- 3
Turn on your wireless card using a function key or via the software for the wireless card.
- 4
Locate the Hub's SSID and wireless key. In a new setup, these usually are attached to a sticker on the bottom of the hub or in your owner's manual. The SSID refers to the broadcast name of the hub, while the wireless key functions as the password.
- 5
Click on the network connections icon in the bottom right-hand corner of your PC. Your card may have already detected your new network and prompt you with a login screen.
- 6
Enter the SSID and network key for your BT hub when prompted. Click "Yes" if the connection asks you if you want to save it for future use.
- 7
Start up a web browser. You should now be connected to the Internet.

How to Connect a PC With a Wireless Card to a BT Hub
The BT hub, introduced with its home broadband package, provides BT users with a stylish piece of network equipment that allows for seamless connection to the Internet. These hubs are built for both wireless and wired connections, but once you go wireless, it's hard to go back. Connect a PC with a wireless card to a BT hub fairly quickly and easily, even if you don't have a computer science degree.
