How to Create a Calendar I Can Upload for Publishing

Desk calendars are more that just a way to keep track of time. They also serve as organizers and even artistic expressions. Many people like to create a calendar that incorporates things they are interested in or images they like. If you would like to make your own personalized calendar, there are several programs that you can use for the purpose. Which you choose will depend on what you already have or are willing to spend in addition, since they range from expensive to entirely free.
  • Photoshop

      Load any images that you want to add to your calendar pages onto your computer. You can either transfer them from a digital source (recommended) or you can scan them from prints.

      Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu and choose "New." In the dialog that appears, change the increments to "Inches" and make the width and height what you want for your pages. Make the resolution 300dpi. Click "OK."

      Select the "Text" tool from the toolbar. In the options at the top, choose the font size, style and color you want.

      Type in the name of the month at the top. Below this type in the date.

      Select "File" and choose "Open." In the dialog, locate the image you want to use for the first page. Use the "Copy and Paste" function under edit to place this image in the calendar page document.

      Resize the image to fit and place it so you leave an area on the right where you can make notes. Save your work as a JPEG.
