How to Do a Voice-Over on Media Player

Media Player is software that can be used to play audio and video files on the computer. The files can be downloaded from a website or the users can create the files. In order to create a Media Player file, the audio or video can be merged in Windows Movie Maker. The audio file to be played in Media Player and uploaded into Windows Movie Maker can be created on the computer.

      Plug the headphones with microphone into the headphones jack and the microphone jack accordingly. Each will have the appropriate icon.

      Click on "Start" in the Windows taskbar. Type "Sound Recorder" in the search box or go to "All Programs," "Accessories," "Sound Recorder."

      Click on "Start Recording" in th sound recorder dialog box.

      Speak into the microphone.

      Press "Stop Recording" when finished.

      Name the file in the "Save As" dialog box. Click Save.

      Open Windows Movie Maker. Go to Start in the Windows taskbar and type "Windows Movie Maker" in the searchbar or go to "All Programs," "Windows Movie Maker."

      Import the saved audio file into Windows Movie Maker. Click on "Add videos and photos" and click on the files that will be a part of the project or open the file that will use the voiceover. Click on "Add music" and navigate to the newly created audio file.

      Click on the arrow to play the file to ensure it sounds as desired.

      Click on the down arrow next to the white movie maker icon. Go to "Save Movie" and determine if the movie will be saved as a file for an email or any other settings. Name and save the file in the "Save Movie" dialog box. When the movie is complete, click "Play" in the Windows Live Movie Maker dialog box. The movie and voiceover will play in Windows Media Player.
