Microsoft Windows Vista was released on January 30, 2007. It introduced enhanced graphics and visual styles, new search functionality, various multimedia programs and tools like Windows DVD maker and improved connectivity on local networks. It was released in four different versions; Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate. The Business version is aimed at professionals who require additional networking and organization features. It includes many features not found in other versions of Vista.

Windows Vista Business requires at least a 1GHz processor to function, but can support both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit processing. Vista Business also supports dual-core and dual processors.
Memory

The memory required to run Windows Vista Business is 1GB. This is necessary to carry out multitasking with various applications and to process the enhanced graphical interface.
Space

A 40GB hard drive is necessary to install Windows Vista Business to hold the operating system and any applicable system files. Additional space is necessary to hold programs or personal files, such as documents or spreadsheets.
Graphics

Vista uses DirectX 9 technology to render the graphical interface, including the aero interface. Optimal graphics are only achieved with 128MB of graphical memory and more is necessary if gaming is a priority.
DVD-ROM

Windows Vista Business is available on both CD and DVD. Maximum capabilities are possible with a DVD drive to support additional media, but the minimum requirements are a CD-ROM drive.
