Pour the algaecide into a 5-gallon bucket and add the instructed amount of water. For most algaecides, mix one part algaecide with four to nine parts water.

Unscrew the reservoir cover of the low-pressure sprayer. Slowly pour in the algaecide until the reservoir is full. Screw the cover back on.

Spray the mossy surface with algaecide until the surface is saturated.

How to Mix Algaecide With Water for Moss Control
Algaecide kills algae, moss and lichens. The chemical is a common addition to pools, but you can also use it to kill moss growing on pathways, garden fixtures or exterior walls. Most algaecides call for dilution with regular water before application with a mister or low-pressure chemical sprayer.
