How to Upgrade the Novell Suse 32 Bit to 64 Bit

Suse is a version of the Linux operating system that you can install on your computer. A 32-bit version and a 64-bit version are available. You can upgrade from the 32-bit version of Suse to the 64-bit version if your computer system has a 64-bit processor. To do this you will first need to obtain the 64-bit version of the program.

      Go to the download page for Suse.

      Click the radio button for the "Download Method." Click the radio button for "64 Bit PC."

      Click the "Download DVD" button. Save the ISO file to your desktop.

      Insert a blank DVD disc into the CD/DVD drive for your computer.

      Open your DVD-burning software and select the option for "Burn Disc Image." Select the ISO image file on your desktop and burn it to the DVD disc.

      Restart your computer when the process completes. Leave the disc in the CD/DVD drive. A boot menu will appear on the screen.

      Click "Installation" and then press the "Enter" key. Select "English" for the language.

      Click the "Next" button to continue. Select the "Update" option and click the "Next" button.

      Click the "Agree" button after reviewing the details on the Information page. Wait while the 64-bit version of Suse is installed on your system.

      Reboot your computer after the installation completes.
