How to Reinstall a Umonit File

The umonit.exe file is associated with the USB monitor. This file runs when you start up your computer and alerts you when the USB unit is available or when a USB device is plugged in. If the umonit.exe file is missing or accidentally deleted, you will not receive those alerts when the USB slot is open or unavailable. While this file is not crucial, the umonit.exe file should not be deleted. You can restore the file to your hard drive with a data recovery program; once the file has been returned to the hard drive, it will run automatically on start up.
