Wipe down the Sharpie-marked area with a warm, damp washcloth. This cleans the surface and prepares it for the stain removal. If dirt is left on the stained area, it may interfere with the toothpaste's stain-lifting process.

Squeeze toothpaste onto the Sharpie-marked area and rub a thick amount over the stain. Make sure the entire stain is covered in toothpaste and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
