How to Search DNS Names
Domain Name Registry servers, known as DNS, are servers that are scattered across the Internet that enable computers to connect to them and translate the Internet Protocol (IP) address of a website into its Uniform Resource Locator (URL) and translate a website's URL into the IP address of the site. If you want to search for a particular URL and find out what IP address it belongs to, you can do so by running a "ping" command in the command prompt on your computer. This command uses a DNS query to find out the IP address of the website name that you search.
