How to Send Ringtones to a Samsung Impression

If you want to customize your Samsung Impression, you can do so for free and without much hassle. Use a free website to change any song on your computer into a ringtone that will be compatible with your Impression, and send it to your phone. You can also use the same method to choose from the ringtones that have already been uploaded to such websites.

  Log on to a website that will allow you to send ringtones to your Samsung Impression for free (see Resources). Sign up for an account on the website and fill in your cell number in the appropriate box. Choose your phone model number from the drop-down menu on the sign-up page. The model number for the Impression is SGH-A877.

  Search through the archives for existing ringtones on the website and click on the "Play" button on each one to preview it. Click on "Get ringtone" to send the ringtone to your phone.

  Create your own ringtone from a MP3 with any of the same websites. Click on the "Upload" button on the top menu, or "Make your own," in the drop-down menu under "Ringtones." Click on "Choose file" to find the MP3 on your computer, click "Upload" and wait for the next page to load. Slide the bars across the visual representation of the song you uploaded to select the spot in the song you want to use as your ringtone. Select whether you want the song fragment to loop or not, or if you want it to fade in at the beginning or out at the end. Click on the "Play" button to preview the ringtone. When you are happy with it, click "Send to phone" to have the ringtone sent in a multimedia message.

  Open the message on your phone and save the song. Go to your sound settings and set the song as your ringtone.
