HP Pavilion Won't Boot Keyboard Error

Your HP Pavilion will have difficulty accessing many of its programs and features if the computer does not boot in the correct manner because of a keyboard error. However, if you understand how to diagnose possible causes for this issue, you can fix your computer and resume your work.

      Take the battery out of your computer. Slide your battery lock so that it unlocks and ease it out. Push "Power" and press it for a period of half a minute, then release.

      Put the battery back in your machine and push "Power" once more. If this does not fix your keyboard error, go to the next step.

      Push "Power" until the lights fail to illuminate. Allow your system to rest for a period of five minutes. Push "Power" once more. This time push and do not release "F10" while your system starts up. This enables you to see your boot screen and allows you to choose from a number of options.

      Boot your system via "Safe Mode." Let your machine start completely.

      Go to "Start." Click "All Programs" and locate "PC Help and Tools." Click on the "Hardware Diagnostic Tools" option, and click "Enter."

      Read the "Alert Messages" that come up on your screen. Follow the directions on your screen to complete the process and solve the keyboard error issue.
