The Tri-Peaks Solitaire game on Pogo is a popular card game. It's based on a physical solitaire version, but adds an Indiana Jones-like twist: your performance in the game affects how the adventurer fares in the dungeon he is exploring. So, learning the rules of the game will help both you and the adventurer.
Tri-Peaks Rules
-
The deck is dealt into three pyramid shapes, face down, with the bottom row turned over for play. The pyramids are four rows deep, each row with one fewer cards than the previous. The rest of the cards are left in a stack by the player. After the first card is turned over, the player can start bringing cards down from the pyramids. The card has to be either one value lower or higher than the draw card to be brought down. So, a 10 could pull down either a Jack or a 9.
Artifacts
-
At the top of each pyramid, there is one artifact in a chest. When you remove the top card from each of these pyramids, you open up the box and receive the artifact. The artifacts might be an in-game bonus item, a power-up like a wild card or you may earn bonus tokens for your Pogo account. Open all three in a round and you get a multiplier for the next round.
Ranks and Badges
-
Every few artifacts collected will net you a new rank in the game. Collecting three artifacts will net you the first new rank: "Newt." Win two more games (a total of 9 artifacts) and you earn the "Butterfly" rank. The ranks continue every few rounds and you earn new ranks. Different ranks will also earn you a badge for your Pogo profile. After you've collected 54 artifacts you earn the "Hummingbird" badge, which matches your "Hummingbird" rank. The highest rank you can attain is "Tarantula," which calls for 3,562 artifacts. You also get a badge for this rank.
